AJACCIO – The return of the Citadelle’s Musical Thursdays
The Musical Thursdays of the Citadelle, organized by Jazz in Aiacciu, are back on May 14th at 7:00 pm, featuring DJ sets and the first concert of the season with Djeudjoah & Lieutenant Nicholson. The excellent “Afropean” duo will take the audience on a rhythmic journey blending funk, soul, afrobeat, bossa nova, zouk, and electronic sounds. Four evenings are scheduled in May and early June, leading up to the festival which will return to Casone from July 1st to 4th.

MARIGNANA – Costa Gavras invited to the Uchjata festival
From May 8th to autumn, the association Scopre presents “Uchjata”, its film festival dedicated this year to the work of Costa-Gavras. The director himself will kick off the event by discussing the current geopolitical and societal context with the audience after screenings of his films. It all starts on Friday at 5 pm with “Hanna K”. The evening will continue with a concert by the group Balagna at 9:30 pm at Salle Maistrale. On Saturday, May 9th: “Compartiment tueurs” at 3 pm, “L’aveu” at 5 pm, and “État de siège” at 9:30 pm. On Sunday, May 10th: “À propos de Nice” at 3 pm, “Le Capital” at 5 pm.

CAMPOMORO – Accessible stroll to the Tower
On Monday, May 11th, from 10 am to 3 pm, to celebrate the World Day of Mobility and Accessibility, the ELISA Syndicate offers a day to make coastal trails accessible to the public with reduced mobility, using specially adapted equipment provided by the Collectivité de Corse and the APF. Two types of registrations are possible: if you have difficulty moving and want to enjoy a stroll on the adapted equipment; if you are physically fit and want to help carry people in the equipment. PORTO-VECCHIO – Terra Mea polyphonic concert
On Tuesday, May 12th at 9 pm, the group Terra Mea, composed of Matteo Begu-Tramoni, Nicolas Goti, Marc-André Goti, and Patrick-François Santini, invites you to a suspended moment, a vocal journey to the heart of the island’s tradition. Each concert explores the richness of Corsican singing in its various forms: monodies, polyphonies, sacred or secular songs from the traditional repertoire.
