They have made their mark in the world of music. Now, Bigflo and Oli are venturing into another field. The two brothers have embarked on a new entrepreneurial adventure. Here are all the details of this project unrelated to their music career.

Carrying titles like “Dommage”, “Sur la lune”, and “Papa”, Bigflo and Oli have established themselves as one of the most popular duos in the French music scene. At the ages of 32 and 29, the two brothers from Toulouse have built a solid career in rap, with successful albums, tours, and even a coaching role in “The Voice”. In addition to music and art – Oli initiated a solo project in the field – they have together developed another entrepreneurial project, away from studios: a mate-based drink called Matécito.

Matécito, what is it? It is a sparkling drink based on mate, a plant widely consumed in Argentina, the home country of their father. The product is manufactured and assembled in France, near Toulouse, in the Southwest. On its official website, the brand presents a recipe composed of “five simple and natural ingredients”, including a sparkling mate, delicately acidic, which combines the subtle bitterness of mate with the fruity and light sweetness of pomegranate. The drink also contains “twice less sugar than a regular soda”. Sold in packs of 12 33cl cans for 29.90 euros, Matécito was initially distributed on a small scale in Occitanie, in CHR establishments, at the Rose Festival, and in several Toulouse points of sale.

In July 2025, the Casino group announced the arrival of the product in Monoprix, Franprix, Casino, Spar, and Vival stores. In its statement, the distributor explained that “more than 400 stores will offer the product in limited quantities starting in August”. Furthermore, the group also specified that Matécito “embodies a desire for cultural sharing: that of mate, a symbol of conviviality in Argentina and a nod to the artists’ family origins”. A few weeks later, in August 2025, Bigflo and Oli themselves mentioned this new milestone on Instagram. “Created 3 years ago without the help of a big group and 4 in our Toulouse offices! Thank you to the Casino group for believing in us and following us in this adventure,” the post read. Still on the image-sharing social network, the duo, who had an unconventional childhood, congratulated themselves on this new endeavor: “Another project where we learn and have fun. We are glad that you can taste it more easily now.” With Matécito, Bigflo and Oli discreetly but structurally continue diversifying, relying on their family ties and their Toulouse roots.
