The Maison du Bois et du Jouet in Mazamet offers a festive and family day on Saturday, May 30 to beautifully close the exhibition “At the Heart of the Rules, Wood in the Cultures of the South Pacific” that has captivated visitors throughout its duration.
The program for this closing day is designed for all ages and promises a sensory and cultural journey into Oceanian traditions, from afternoon to evening.
From 3 pm to 5:30 pm, children aged four to twelve will be invited to participate in the game “Mission Tiki,” tailored in two versions for different age groups to explore the richness of Pacific civilizations in a playful and interactive way.
At 4:30 pm, the Mazamet association J’M Lire will continue with a session of readings out loud, a literary sharing moment that resonates with the exhibition’s themes and extends the invitation to a journey through words. The highlight of the evening will be at 7:30 pm with the performance of the Kahiimaitepuna association from Labruguière, offering a colorful and emotional Pacific dance spectacle with more than twenty dancers.
It is a festive and demanding way to conclude this exhibition that has helped showcase the richness and diversity of South Pacific island cultures in the heart of Tarn.
