The two promotion/relegation playoff matches are scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 21 (first leg) and Sunday, May 24 (second leg). However, the possible presence of OGC Nice could disrupt the schedule.

As the season draws to a close, Ligue 1 fans are becoming accustomed to program changes. While the LFP has already made numerous adjustments, the dates for the promotion/relegation playoff could also be altered.

Initially, the two matches between the 16th-placed Ligue 1 team and the winner of the Ligue 2 playoffs are set for Thursday, May 21 (first leg) and Sunday, May 24 (second leg). This is unless OGC Nice is involved.

La finale de la Coupe de France programmée en plein milieu

Currently sitting in 15th place in the championship, OGC Nice is still under threat from Auxerre, with just a three-point lead over AJA. There is a crucial match between the two teams scheduled for this coming Sunday in Burgundy (9 PM, 33rd round of Ligue 1). The issue? The Niçois are also qualified for the Coupe de France final, which is set to take place on Friday, May 22, right between the two playoff matches.

The LFP has notified OGC Nice that the Ligue 1/Ligue 2 playoff would be played the following week if the Azuréens are involved. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, the proposed dates could be Tuesday, May 26 (first leg) and Saturday, May 30 (second leg), or even Friday, May 29, in case of PSG reaching the Champions League final.
