A carefully prepared cinema program

Since the first session in the fall of 2025, five others have taken place. Dead Poets Society, Seven, La La Land, Romeo and Juliet, Pulp Fiction, Interstellar have been shown at the Ciné Cubic movie theaters. Soon, Grave of the Fireflies will be added to the list. The films are scheduled for every Friday around 6:15 – 6:30 pm. They are chosen because they are considered “heritage” or cult films.

However, the range of films in this category is wide. How does one make their selection from such a vast collection? “I look at several aspects,” explains the young man, “There are requests on social media, for example, that’s how I chose to show Interstellar; then there are the cult films mentioned online, like La La Land; and sometimes the context can lead me to a specific choice.” This is the case for May 7th: “Since it’s Armistice the next day, I was looking for a war-themed film with a commemorative aspect,” Soan explains. Clearly, this young man has a lot of ideas. A music, literature, painting, and drawing enthusiast, Soan is sure to continue surprising those around him.
