Journalist

Passionate about sports, cinema, and television (on the screen as well as behind it) since childhood, Bernard has been a journalist for 10 Sport since 2018. More skilled with a keyboard than with a ball at his feet, he decides to focus mainly on a beloved, criticized, and controversial sport (football) and a non-sport (wrestling).

Present at the press conference this Friday, Luis Enrique was more questioned about the incredible first-leg Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich than the next opponent of PSG in Ligue 1, FC Lorient. This amused the Spanish coach, calling out the journalists as he left.

On the eve of the reception of FC Lorient by Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes (5 pm), Luis Enrique faced the journalists for the traditional press conference and was not spared questions about the incredible first-leg Champions League match against Bayern Munich. “It’s a unique football match. When I analyze, it usually takes me three hours, this one took five hours for PSG-Bayern. There were incredible actions, it was a very spectacular match. There was no bad defensive work, which made this match beautiful. It was an incredible level, especially by the attackers,” reacted the PSG coach. “Look at how Kane and Dembélé defended! It was incredible. It’s a time to congratulate both teams and enjoy. It’s the strongest opponent I’ve faced since I’ve been at PSG. I am very happy to win a match against Bayern. We could have drawn or lost, it wouldn’t have been unfair. Football at this level is played on small differences.”

“We will talk about Lorient before the Bayern Munich match”

However, there were fewer questions about FC Lorient, the next opponent of PSG before the second leg in Bavaria. Luis Enrique pointed this out as he left the room. “And Lorient, no questions,” said the Spanish coach, applauding. “Well done. We will talk about Lorient before the Bayern Munich match,” he added with a smile.

“We want to win, we need to win the three points”

Luis Enrique was also asked about the possibility of rotating for the Saturday match: “Every match is different and presents its challenges. We want to win, we need to win the three points. We must judge and analyze everything to see what the best option is.”
