On Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 5 pm, the second edition of the Baroque Music Festival organized by the “Friends of the Organs” of Les Andelys (Eure) will begin at the Notre-Dame collegiate church. The opening will feature the “Les Sauvages” Ensemble, consisting of about ten musicians, presenting a repertoire on the theme of France-Germany in the 18th century.
The festival will continue on Saturday, May 16 with a conference at the parish center. Christian Roy will discuss the history of the former organ manufacturer Dumont-Lelièvre in Les Andelys.
Music will make a comeback on Sunday, May 31 with the Normandy Rouen Opera orchestra performing at the Notre-Dame collegiate church. Under the direction of Rinaldo Alessandrini, soloist Sarah Mingardo and the musicians will interpret Vivaldi’s Nisi Dominus and other sacred works.
As two years ago, the Correspondances Ensemble, this time in instrumental trio, will close the Baroque Music Festival on Sunday, June 7. Mathilde Vialle on the viola da gamba, Thibaut Roussel on theorb and Sébastien Daucé on the harpsichord will offer a concert around Marin Marais’ “Les Voix Humaines”.
The 2nd Baroque Music Festival of Les Andelys will take place from May 3 to June 7, 2026 at the Notre-Dame collegiate church. Concerts will be priced between 10 and 15 euros, free for those under 18. Online reservations are available. The conference on Saturday, May 16 on the Dumont-Lelièvre organ manufacture at the parish center is free.
