Ligue 1 (Matchday): PSG – FC Lorient, Saturday (5 pm)
After returning to training on Tuesday at the Kerlir center in Ploemeur with Montassar Talbi but without Théo Le Bris, who did exercises with and without the ball on the sidelines. On Wednesday, the collective session was conducted with more intensity than the day before in preparation for the trip to Paris SG on Saturday, May 2 (5 pm), with young Daniel Semedo replacing the Lorient midfielder. There were some strong contacts, particularly on Dermane Karim’s right ankle, relieved with a cold spray without further consequences.
“We were amazed,” says coach Pantaloni
After the Champions League match the day before, a first-leg semi-final victory for PSG against Bayern Munich (5-4), the topic of conversation was obvious. Olivier Pantaloni, the Lorient coach, shared his thoughts on the match. “We were amazed,” emphasized the coach who watched it before discussing it with his staff this morning. What a game! It was incredible. It feels like we’re not playing the same sport in terms of intensity, runs, sprints, technical quality. It’s rare for a match like that to generate so much admiration.”
This doesn’t stop Olivier Pantaloni from having a plan in mind for the match on Saturday against PSG: “We will go there to try to replicate what we did in the first leg and achieve a little feat. We haven’t discussed last night’s match with the players, we will let them forget the images a little bit (laughs).
