The Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, has responded to allegations regarding internal communication about Albanians in North Macedonia, which his political opponents have used to publicly accuse him of offensive remarks towards them.
The minister emphasizes that his 35 years of diplomatic career are public and documented, stating that this is the best response to any accusation regarding his professional integrity.
“This issue has already been clarified by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs in a public response and I have nothing to add. Our positions on foreign policy matters are not communicated through SMS or WhatsApp. They are communicated through official and transparent channels.”
“Anyone who wishes to know the positions and attitudes I have defended during my diplomatic career can do so very easily, as everything is public and documented. These are 35 years of uninterrupted service in the national interest,” the minister stated.
“We do not need to communicate through the media or social networks. I am completely open to direct institutional communication at all times,” he declares.
