The new community media library in Gisors (Eure) reached a symbolic milestone on Saturday, April 11, 2026, by hosting its first event.
As part of the digital festival “X.PO” (Experience of Possibilities), a workshop on the theme of “music under the skin” allowed visitors to turn their bodies into instruments.
Thanks to Frog Touch technology, physical contact enabled the development of a melody.
A digital interface
This ingenious device used the conductivity of the skin to trigger sounds through a digital interface.
By touching hands, participants activated various sound banks. Geraldine Lefevre, director of the Therese-Baton media library, stated:
“We are delighted to kick off our programming with this event that symbolizes the opening of our establishment. This festival makes innovation accessible to every citizen, regardless of age.”
Inclusive Technology
This tool has a pedagogical and therapeutic dimension. Accessible from the age of 8, it allowed people with disabilities to engage with musical rhythm.
Jade Lourme, deputy director and youth coordinator, adds:
“Seeing children collaborate and create pieces together without hesitation has been truly satisfying. This free workshop promoted valuable social mixing around a project that is both intelligent and intuitive.”
