In the context of the national operation of the great challenge “Live to Move”, whose main objective is to effectively fight against sedentary behavior in young people, the local primary school participated in a large sports day to accumulate a maximum of energy cubes.
From 9:30 a.m., all students from CP to CM2 walked to the Loc-Dieu Abbey along hiking trails. After a brisk walk of over 5 km, adorned with flower picking and some respounchous, the children joined the students from the nursery section on the site. Everyone was able to explore the immense park of the abbey and actively participate in various collective games organized by multi-level teams. The picnic break in the shade of the trees was particularly welcome before embarking on the courageous ascent of the 120-step tower to observe the breathtaking panorama of the surrounding landscape. The return then took place entirely on foot to the school where a surprise awaited the participants: a well-deserved ice pop was offered to each child upon arrival.
This sports day, marked by mutual aid and constant exchange between young and old, was greatly appreciated by all participants and accompanying adults.
