Helena’s first album, titled “Hélène,” was a huge success. After finishing the Star Academy tour in 2024, she embarked on her own concert tour across France. She won two NRJ Music Awards for Best Francophone Female Artist and Best Francophone Song with “Mauvais garçon,” as well as the Original Song Victoire at the Victoires de la Musique. Despite being warmly welcomed by the French public, the young woman is in need of a break. In an interview with Sud Info in April 2026, she admitted that she plans to take a break after her music tour, saying, “I think I will disappear for a year after the end of the tour.”
Helena wants to enjoy her life as a young woman: “I want to go far away, learn English, discover new cultures, live with a family that is not mine, as I did when I was younger.” She also wants to adopt a dog and has taken all the necessary steps to make this project possible: “I have completed all the procedures, I am on the waiting list. And I want to take the time to educate him properly.”
Helena has been the target of criticism about her physical appearance. In an interview with Décibels on Ici, she opened up about the negative comments she receives on social media. Since her appearance on the Star Academy, she has regularly been the subject of waves of hateful messages, particularly about her physical appearance. She regretted the violence of the comments, saying, “Some comments are so extremely violent – really, it’s violent. Sometimes I see comments under videos of my concerts where people say it’s a sausage fest.”
While Charlotte Cardin also faces criticism about her physical appearance, Helena referenced her example to assert her viewpoint: “No one is ever satisfied! Because Charlotte is too thin and I am too fat. When I see this, I realize I am not alone.”
In 2023, after her appearance on the talent show broadcast on TF1, Helena learned to take a step back from the critiques. She now distinguishes between constructive criticism and those published simply to hurt her: “What can affect me are the comments that are mean but may be justified, or that come from people who are professionals and talk about my music, rather than my body,” she explained. However, when comments do not offer anything meaningful, she ignores them: “I always look for meaning in things, all the time. I always try to understand, but sometimes when it doesn’t make sense, then it completely goes over my head. So, I have the advantage of thinking, ‘This is too senseless for it to affect me.’ ” A good way to weather the storms.
