Since her participation in Star Academy, Helena has been busy with projects and successful pieces. The young woman has managed to carve out a place for herself among the public, delighted to follow her in all her adventures. The singer has been making numerous stage appearances as well as touring, following the release of her album “Hélène” in March 2025. However, on April 14, Helena announced that she would not be present for the final of the show The Voice Belgique. She had informed her subscribers that she had made this decision for “medical reasons,” indicating a need to rest her vocal cords. In an interview with the magazine Max, published by our colleagues at Pure Charts, she provided further details on the matter.

With a very intense rhythm, Helena affirms: “I sometimes feel tired, yes. Feel the need to rest. There are days when I think, ‘I just want to sit on my couch and read a book,’ but I know very well that it wouldn’t last more than a day,” she revealed. However, she also mentioned deciding to take a long break at the end of her tour. “I’m going to disappear for a year,” she explained, wanting to reconnect with simple things, far from the glitz and glamor. She has already planned her schedule.

“I want to learn to play guitar and piano better, to exercise,” she said before continuing, “I want to go far away, learn English, discover new cultures, live with a family that isn’t mine, as I did when I was younger.” Wanting to live and enjoy her daily life, Helena also expressed her desire to adopt an animal. “I’m going to adopt a dog. I’ve gone through all the steps, I’m on the waiting list. And I want to take the time to educate it well,” she emphasized.

Helena: a necessary break for the singer

Helena has enjoyed success in recent months but she says she wants to prioritize her health and desires above all. “I want to let myself live before going back to the studio,” she says before adding, “You have to go through joyful, sad things to be able to write new songs.” For a year, the young woman intends to make the most of it and regain a normal life. Her priority is simple: “not to fall into the stereotype of the artist who can only talk about their life as an artist,” she concluded.
