Actively contributing to international dialogue: Prince Albert II on official visit to Greece for two days

Prince Albert II is making an official two-day visit to the Hellenic Republic, featuring meetings and visits with a strong institutional, economic, and cultural focus.

On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the Sovereign will be received by the highest Greek authorities. He will hold discussions with both the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and the President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tassoulas, to discuss bilateral relations between Monaco and Greece, as well as common international interests.

He will also participate in an official ceremony at the Athens City Hall, where he will be awarded the city’s medal as recognition for his commitment to international dialogue and environmental action.

As part of economic exchanges and sustainable development, the Sovereign will visit the Ellinikon urban development project site, a significant program of territorial and environmental transformation in collaboration with the Yacht Club of Monaco and its certification “La Belle Classe Destinations by YCM.” Finally, Prince Albert II will inaugurate the Monaco Consulate in Greece.

The following day, the Sovereign will travel to Delphi to participate in the “Delphi Economic Forum,” a major international event dedicated to contemporary challenges.

The event will feature over 200 interviews, 25 closed-door meetings, and 6 roundtable discussions, with the involvement of 1,200 speakers, including government officials, multinational leaders, academics, and prominent business figures.

Prince Albert II will deliver a speech during the opening session, emphasizing the crucial role of multilateral dialogue and sustainable policies in tackling today’s complex global challenges.

The Prince’s participation will bring exceptional prestige to this edition: His global vision will help structure the international agenda, underscoring the need for unified and visionary leadership to safeguard our common future.

Alongside the event, Prince Albert II will hold bilateral discussions with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, the President of the Republic of Estonia, Alar Karis, and Prince Turki Al Faisal, founder and president of the King Faisal Foundation.

On this occasion, the Sovereign will also visit the museum and archaeological site of Delphi, a significant location in Greek heritage.
