On Friday, April 17, Nadia Farès passed away at the age of 57, after being found unconscious in a Parisian pool. The actress leaves behind her two daughters, Shana, 24, and Cylia, 21, from her marriage to Steven Chasman. Farès had lived a dream life in America for eighteen years before returning to France. In an interview published on January 15 in Gala magazine, she opened up about her relationship with her ex-husband, Steven Chasman, with whom she had a whirlwind romance that led her to Los Angeles.

The couple, engaged “within a few weeks,” enjoyed a love story without boundaries. Farès recounted how she abandoned everything for love in 2000, moving to the upscale neighborhood of Pacific Palisades in LA, where she lived a fairytale life with her children. Four years ago, the couple decided to separate but remained on good terms for the sake of their family.

Farès fondly remembered her time in Los Angeles, rubbing shoulders with famous neighbors such as Omar Sy, Dany Boon, and Amanda Sthers. She described how they would gather casually, exchanging dinners and messages on a WhatsApp group.

Farès also recalled her friendship with Laeticia Hallyday and Johnny Hallyday, for whom she used to cook a special tajine dish. Luckily, she sold her house before it was ravaged by fires in Los Angeles a year ago. Content with her decisions, Farès moved back to Paris, settling in Montmartre near Claude Lelouch, who sold her the property. She also mentioned starting a new chapter in her life with a non-French partner.
