Jonesboro cardiologist to be featured on Discovery, Science channels

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – A St. Bernards cardiologist will showcase her expertise on the Discovery Channel and the Science Channel this weekend.

Dr. Devi Nair, director of cardiac electrophysiology at St. Bernards Healthcare, will be featured as an expert on the Emmy-nominated and Telly Award-winning series “Tomorrow's World Today.â€

The program will air on the Science Channel and Discovery Channel on April 18 and 19.

The episode will dive into the “frontier of bio-electrical healing†and highlight pulsed field ablation to treat a-fib (atrial fibrillation).

A-fib affects more than 33 million people worldwide. Dr. Nair is one of several experts chosen to demonstrate how this medical technology is helping save lives and getting patients back to their normal routines.

  • Science Channel: Saturday, April 18, at 9 a.m. CDT
  • Discovery Channel: Sunday, April 19, at 6 a.m. CDT
