After many years of absence, Vanessa Paradis made her big comeback in October 2025. Accompanied by Étienne Daho and Jean-Louis Piérot, the 53-year-old singer released a new album, “Le Retour des beaux jours.” The former companion of Johnny Depp also launched a new tour featuring her old hits and new songs. “There will definitely be songs from the latest album, but even more old ones, because I see concerts as the ones I like to attend,” she said in an interview with the newspaper “La Voix du Nord” three weeks ago. However, on Wednesday, April 15, she was supposed to perform at the Printemps de Bourges festival alongside Oxmo Puccino. Unfortunately, the artist had to cancel her appearance due to her health condition.

Vanessa Paradis “lost her voice, she is distraught” In a statement posted on social media, the festival explained that the singer could not perform “for medical reasons,” adding that this decision was made “with a lot of sadness and regrets.” Vanessa Paradis also shared a message from her producers on Instagram, expressing her disappointment at not being able to meet her audience due to her illness. Laurent Manganas, the singer’s manager, provided more details to “Le Parisien,” saying, “Vanessa is very sick, she is bedridden, she cannot sing, she has lost her voice. She is distraught, it was her first festival. She has been on antibiotics since Tuesday.”

How is Vanessa Paradis being replaced? Facing this unforeseen event, the festival lineup, which combines established singers and new talents from the music scene, has been modified at the last minute. Imany, originally scheduled for the Auditorium at 9 pm, has joined the lineup at the W next to Oxmo Puccino, Charlie Winston, and Feu! Chatterton. Dressed like Boys, initially set for the Auditorium at 9 pm, is now part of the lineup at the Auditorium at 5 pm alongside Thibaut, Nemahsis, and Flora Fishbach. As for Vanessa Paradis, she is also scheduled to perform two concerts on Thursday, April 16, in Brussels and on Friday, April 17, in Amiens… if her health condition allows it.
