The first Australian cinema festival was a success on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12 where a diverse program was offered. Mayor Jean-Louis Raynady welcomed this first edition and expressed his thanks to all those involved in its organization, especially Bernard Bories.

Bories spoke, mentioning his parents who spent part of the year in their family home in Nayrac, as well as his brother-in-law Bruno, who helped in the preparation of the event before passing away in January. He talked about his passion for Australian cinema and culture before presenting a slideshow on Australia, particularly on Aboriginal painting where nature is prominent with its connections to the land, water, and plants referencing the sacred world. The films showcased will explore the diversity of this country through various perspectives: the adventure of a young Aboriginal woman in the heart of the bush, behind-the-scenes at a music festival, peasant dramas, and the life of a renowned Aboriginal painter. The event will include gourmet breaks with fouace pastries made by volunteers, Torpez wines from Saint-Tropez, and champagne provided by Roadsign, a festival partner.

This first edition concluded with applause and the promise of a return in 2027.
