Former journalist and TV presenter, entrepreneur, helicopter pilot (yes, you read that right), and children’s book author, Lauren Sánchez added a new line to her impressive CV by marrying, during the summer of 2025, Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon and one of the wealthiest men in the world. In short, she too has become a prominent media figure.
Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos: a blended family
Before saying “I do” to Jeff Bezos, Lauren was previously married to businessman Patrick Whitesell, with whom she had two children, Evan (in 2006) and Ella (in 2018), not to mention her son, Nikko, born in 2001 from her relationship with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez. On his side, Jeff is divorced from MacKenzie Scott, mother of his four children, three sons and a daughter (largely unknown to the public, except for the fact that the daughter’s name is Preston).
Beyond this already large blended family, Lauren Sánchez Bezos has never hidden her deep attachment to motherhood. In a rare interview with the New York Times, she emphasized her love for children. Moreover, the “newlyweds” also do not seem to rule out the idea of expanding their family. Finally, Lauren has clearly expressed her enthusiasm for it.
The cherished dream of a new child
When asked by the New York Times journalist about the possibility of having another child, Lauren enthusiastically responded without hesitation, “I would have another one tomorrow. Tomorrow.” The former presenter even went as far as encouraging her interlocutor to have another baby, saying, “Go for it!” However, a spokesperson for Lauren clarified that, no, she is not pregnant… Nonetheless, a useful note to add is that she is 56 years old, and he is 62.
But as the newspaper aptly summed it up, “with the right attitude and nearly unimaginable wealth, anything is possible.” Indeed.
