    Throughout the month of March, Bangkok is hosting a series of cultural events dedicated to the French language. The schedule includes a variety of performances in theater, literature, and visual arts, mainly centered around the Alliance Française.

    The events kick off on March 7 with a cultural mediation session aimed at young audiences. Julie Dupré will offer two storytelling sessions (10 am and 2 pm) at the Alliance Française, focusing on interactive storytelling. In the realm of visual arts, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Bangkok will exhibit the work “Iconostasis” from March 7 to April 26.

    The theater will take center stage on March 8 and 14 with performances of the play “And meanwhile, Simone watches!”. Adapted by the Invités Theater, the piece traces the evolution of the female condition. Tickets are priced at 500 bahts (350 bahts for members).

    Literary encounters and recitals are also on the agenda, with a contemporary literature reading of the novel “Winter in Sokcho” by Elise Dusapin on March 13 at 6 pm. This participatory session will be followed by a thematic discussion and a buffet highlighting the cultural ties between Korea and France.

    The musical and choreographic aspect will be highlighted on two key dates: – March 22 (3 pm): A piano recital by Ida Pelliccioli, entitled “Debussy & Influences”, focusing on the French classical repertoire. – March 24 (7:30 pm): A solo performance by choreographer Nacera Belaza, centered on contemporary gestural research.

    The program will conclude on March 28 with a thematic day from 11 am to 6:30 pm. This final section will feature several institutional and cultural activities: – Awarding of DELF/DALF diplomas. – Screening of short films and a preview of the show “Destination Francophonie.” – Gastronomic market. – Traditional dance show Khon.

    This edition is made possible through collaboration between Francophone embassies (Switzerland, Canada, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Morocco, Romania) and Thai academic institutions to ensure the dissemination of the content.
