On Sunday, March 1st, Issam Rahmouni’s group traveled to Marseille to face SC Montre Bonneveine, ranked seventh. The Anglois needed a good result as they are tied for second place with a game in hand and promotion on their minds.

They fulfilled their mission after a first half where the hosts opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a goal that caught the Anglois defense off guard. The dominant Anglois quickly equalized with Thouzgar Marouane scoring in the 32nd minute after a breakthrough.

After the break, with the score at 1-1, the second half saw EMAF take control of the game and in the 50th minute, midfielder Cedric Fabre pierced the local defense and scored. The hosts faltered and gave away a penalty to EMAF in the 60th minute converted by Bourras Ayachi. A strong finish for Cedric Fabre who scored a second goal in the 75th minute from a corner. This 4-1 victory positions the Anglois well in their pursuit of returning to R2. It’s worth noting that EMAF has the best defense in their group.
