The French Defense Innovation Agency and the Ukrainian platform Brave1 have signed a letter of intent to create a joint grant program for Ukrainian and French defense companies, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced.
As part of this initiative, in addition to the joint grant program to support Ukrainian and French defense innovations, programming marathons will be organized to find practical solutions and support the development of young innovative companies, as well as innovation tests via the Test in Ukraine platform.
“Ukraine and France have great potential for cooperation in defense technologies. This partnership gives Ukraine access to advanced technologies of its allies, while the French side benefits from the unique experience of conducting high-tech warfare, which cannot be reproduced in any other context,” emphasized the Ministry of Defense.
The next steps will involve defining priority topics, establishing a common coordination body, developing a financing mechanism, and planning additional activities.
The initiative is set to launch in the second quarter of 2026.
