Apple announces a significant expansion project of its operations at its Houston factory, bringing the future production of the Mac mini to the United States for the first time and doubling the footprint of this campus.
It will also expand the manufacturing of advanced AI servers on this site and offer hands-on training in its new Advanced Manufacturing Center starting at the end of this year. In total, Apple’s operations in Houston will create thousands of jobs.
“With its advanced AI capabilities, the Mac mini has become an essential tool for everyone, from students and budding creatives to small business owners,” highlights the tech firm Apple.
Apple began producing advanced AI servers in Houston for the first time in 2025, and production is already ahead of schedule. The servers assembled in Houston are used in Apple’s data centers across the country.
Beyond production, Apple is investing in the workforce that will drive forward the American manufacturing industry. Later this year, its 20,000-square-foot Advanced Manufacturing Center is set to open in Houston.
