President Trump stated that the United States is arming its warships with the “best weapons ever designed” as an American delegation travels to Pakistan for discussions with Iran, warning that the use of force remains possible without an agreement.

“We have entered a new phase. We are loading the ships with the best ammunition, the best weapons ever made,” said Donald Trump in an interview with the New York Post, adding that these equipments were “even superior to those previously used.”

“And if we don’t have a deal, we will use them, and we will use them very effectively,” he continued.

When asked about the chances of success in the talks, he responded, “We will know in about 24 hours. We will know soon.”

These statements come hours after Vice President JD Vance indicated that Washington would approach talks with Iran “with open arms,” expressing confidence in a “positive” outcome as he left Washington for Pakistan.

JD Vance is accompanied by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, both involved in previous rounds of indirect negotiations with Iranian officials before the joint strikes carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28.
