The American president has also threatened to apply a 50% tariff on all countries that supply weapons to Iran.

Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that there will be “no enrichment of uranium” in Iran and claimed that the United States will “work” with Tehran to extract the “nuclear dust” buried “deeply”, apparently referring to the consequences of the June 2025 Israeli-American strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

“There will be no enrichment of uranium, and the United States, working with Iran, will unearth and remove all the ‘nuclear dust’ deeply buried (B-2 bombers)”, wrote the American president on his Truth Social network, following a ceasefire agreement.

Towards a easing of sanctions?

The American president also threatened to impose a 50% tariff on all countries supplying weapons to Iran, “without exception or exemption.”

“Any country supplying military weapons to Iran will immediately be hit with a 50% tariff on all goods sold to the United States of America, with immediate effect. There will be no exclusions or exemptions,” he wrote on Truth Social.

According to Iranian media, Tehran’s plan calls for the lifting of sanctions suffocating the Iranian economy. It also stipulates that Washington accepts uranium enrichment, a mention however absent from the English version submitted to the UN.
