Marc Márquez does not seem to be suffering more than that from the fall he experienced this morning. At the end of the hour of riding given to MotoGP riders during Friday’s tests of the Grand Prix of the Americas, the Spaniard imposes his law in Austin and claims the best time of the session. With a time of 2:00.927 on the Texan circuit, he dangerously approaches the track record set by Maverick Viñales two years ago.

At Aprilia, the riders of the Trackhouse Racing team showed much better form than the factory team’s riders at the beginning of the tests. While Raúl Fernández dropped in the standings towards the end of the session, Ai Ogura maintained his position. The Japanese rider secured the second spot in the tests, just a few hundredths away from the reference. A result that undoubtedly pleased the team competing in their home Grand Prix.

Weekends continue to look alike for Fabio Di Giannantonio, who seems to be more comfortable on the GP26 than he was on the GP25 last year. The Italian, who returned to the podium last week in Brazil, took the 3rd best time in the tests, a good omen for the rest of the weekend.

Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi completes a compact top 4. Just two hundredths of a second separate him from Marc Márquez, promising an interesting duel between Ducati and Aprilia at the United States Grand Prix. Álex Márquez completes the top 5 after a fall at turn 1 at the start of the session.

Luca Marini, the best Honda in the tests, secures a place in Q2 for the first time this season. The Italian took the 9th fastest time, behind Jorge Martín and Pecco Bagnaia. Enea Bastianini also secures his first Q2 of the year with Tech3, signing an impressive 10th time under the watchful eye of Günther Steiner.

As for the French riders, Johann Zarco is only 14th, and although the best Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo, is in 15th place. Both riders will go through Q1 for the first time since the 2025 San Marino Grand Prix.
