JD Vance, the American Vice President, has promised to delve into the details of the information authorities have on UFOs, while also stating that he considers extraterrestrials to be “demons.” Vance expressed his commitment to understanding the subject further, emphasizing his keen interest in it.
“I still have three years left as Vice President. I will thoroughly investigate the UFO files,” he added.
Trump had said “not sure if they are real or not”
The Vice President was responding to statements made by Donald Trump in February. Trump, citing public interest, had expressed his desire to instruct federal agencies to “identify and release” files on extraterrestrials and UFOs that Americans have been requesting for decades.
Trump’s response came after his predecessor, Barack Obama, stated in response to a question about the existence of extraterrestrials: “They are real, but I haven’t seen them.”
“I don’t know if they are real or not,” commented Donald Trump, also criticizing the disclosure of “classified information” by the former Democratic president.
No scientific evidence
When asked to weigh in, JD Vance stated: “I don’t think they are extraterrestrials. I think they are demons.” The Vice President, a devout Catholic who converted in 2019, explained that he uses the term in a Christian context, referring to “celestial beings flying around and doing strange things to people.”
There is no evidence of a potential extraterrestrial origin for UFOs, these unidentified aerial phenomena that spark fascination and various conspiracy theories.
In 2024, the Pentagon’s office specializing in these matters, called AARO, stated that they had found “no empirical evidence” to suggest that some “unidentified anomalous phenomena” were of extraterrestrial origin, or that the U.S. government was concealing such evidence.
