JD Vance Promises to Investigate UFO Information
Invited to conservative commentator Benny Johnson’s podcast on Friday, March 27, Vice President JD Vance promised to thoroughly study the information held by U.S. authorities on UFOs during his tenure, stating his intention to “dig into the files.” “I haven’t been able to dedicate enough time to it yet,” he explained, but emphasized that the topic “obsesses” him.
This statement comes after several declarations by former U.S. presidents. In February, Trump mentioned his intention to request the release of government archives on aliens and UFOs, citing “great public interest.”
This was in response to a comment by Barack Obama, who ironically stated that aliens were “real” but clarified that he had never seen any. Donald Trump was more cautious, claiming ignorance of their existence and denouncing the disclosure of “classified information” by the former Democratic president.
A Religious Interpretation
When asked about this, JD Vance dismissed the extraterrestrial hypothesis. “I don’t think they are aliens. I think they are demons,” he declared. Converted to Catholicism in 2019, he explained that he uses this term in a Christian sense, referring to “celestial beings” capable of unusual phenomena.
Despite these statements, there is no evidence to support the extraterrestrial origin of UFOs, now referred to as “unidentified anomalous phenomena.” In 2024, the Pentagon bureau in charge of these matters, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, stated that they found “no empirical evidence” to conclude that some “unidentified anomalous phenomena” were of extraterrestrial origin, or that the U.S. government was concealing such evidence.
