After the 1st round of municipal elections last Sunday, the newly elected officials of Cintegabelle met at the town hall this Saturday, March 21, for the installation of the municipal council. With a large victory (68.12% of the votes), the list led by Monique Courbières and Sébastien Vincini in second place, makes up the assembly of twenty co-listeners. The opposition, with 31.88%, is allocated three seats. Therefore, 23 members fulfilled their first duty as elected officials by voting, in turn and in alphabetical order. At the end of the vote, out of 23 voters, Monique Courbières was elected unanimously. Applauded by her co-listeners, as well as the opposition and the fifteen curious onlookers who attended the session. The mayor sincerely thanked those who support her: “My family, the voters, my friends, and the team with whom she will work.” On the other hand, Sébastien Vincini, President of the Departmental Council of Haute-Garonne, congratulated her: “This unanimous election demonstrates the strong trust that the municipal council has in her, as well as the recognition of her commitment to the service of the municipality.”
Sébastien Vincini, mayor of the town from 2020 to 2022
The outgoing and re-elected mayor was presented with the tricolor sash by Jean-Louis Rémy (mayor from 2008 to 2020 and municipal councilor) and Sébastien Vincini. The latter, elected mayor of Cintegabelle in March 2020, passed on this responsibility to Monique Courbières when he was elected president of the Departmental Council of Haute-Garonne in 2022. Since then, “as a municipal councilor, I am proud to be by her side. We will continue with the same level of commitment to serve all Cintegabelle residents,” rejoiced the president after the end of the session, in the midst of a friendly and motivated team.
