The municipal council met on April 30 with an essential point in municipal life on the agenda, since it was the vote on the main budget and ancillary budgets.
The budget was therefore approved with an amount of €3,261,778 in operating expenses and revenues and a forecast also to balance expenses and revenues for the investment section of €3,421,154.
The new municipality has decided not to increase property tax rates on built or unbuilt properties or on second homes. Elected officials allocated part of the subsidies to local associations.
The current investment projects are very important, including work to adapt the fairground for the evolution of the method of selling cattle, the development of the exterior spaces of Pims (multi-service intercommunal center) and the reimbursement of the financing of the media library part to the community of municipalities.
The budget is therefore constrained by the commitments of the previous mandate of an investment amount of more than €2.5 million which leave no room in 2026 for new projects. The elected officials appreciated the presence of many Laissagais at this meeting.
