The municipality of Montarnaud is about to open a new chapter in its political history. Following the municipal elections, the “Unis pour Montarnaud” list, led by Denis Terraillon, emerged victorious with 53.83% of the votes, marking a change at the helm of the town hall.

A comfortable majority He succeeds Jean-Pierre Pugens and will benefit from a comfortable majority within the municipal council. His list obtained 21 out of the 27 seats in the assembly, ensuring him significant capacity to implement his program.

His first words go out to all Montarnaud residents: “We sincerely thank all the people who went to the polls to vote for our list and all the support we received during this campaign. I also want to say something to those who did not vote for us. We respect their choice and want to tell them one simple thing: we will be the elected representatives of all Montarnaud residents.”

Some of them were surprised by the results, but Denis Terraillon was confident: “I have always believed that there was space for a list that cares about the village in a different way. I put together a team of Montarnaud citizens who want to reclaim their municipality. Our program is reasonable, close to the residents and their issues without making promises that cannot be kept. Our city has grown too fast and needs to regain serenity.”

The first municipal council of this new term will take place on Saturday, March 21 at 11 am, in the town hall. This inaugural session will be an opportunity to officially announce the election of the mayor and the appointment of the deputies.

The first important issues will need to be addressed quickly: “We must take up the issue of the PLU next week, which is returning to the town hall after the remarks made by the investigating commissioner. We also need to quickly vote on the budget in order to manage the current issues effectively and set out the future key priorities.”

With this victory, Denis Terraillon and his team intend to quickly initiate their actions, in a context where residents’ expectations remain high regarding urban development, municipal management, and quality of life.
