After 67 auditions – some particularly contentious, such as those of Xavier Niel and Nagui this week – and a total of 234 people received over the past five months, the parliamentary inquiry commission on the neutrality, operation, and financing of public broadcasting is coming to an end.

“This week, we will conclude with a new hearing of Martin Ajdari, President of Arcom, and Bruno Lasserre, author of an ongoing study on the impartiality of the public broadcasting service,” detailed deputy Horizons Jérémie Patrier-Leitus, president of the commission. “We will also hear from Delphine Ernotte, CEO of France Télévisions. She will be able to address the dysfunctions that the commission has uncovered and respond to all accusations, often malicious, that have been directed at her.”

Next up is the drafting of the report, which, according to our information, will be available to commission members on Thursday, April 23, and Friday, April 24, in a specific room, with only the opportunity to review it on-site. Followed by a vote on Monday, April 27, in the afternoon.

“Everything will depend on the content of the report by Charles Alloncle [deputy and rapporteur of the commission],” decrypted a parliamentarian. “If it is populist and voyeuristic, there is little chance that it will be voted on.”
