Actions for students are also planned. And all events will be free. Highlights will take place in Périgueux. The cinema part will be dense. 25 films will be screened from March 30th to April 4th starting at 2 pm and in the evening at the Jean-Moulin amphitheater at the media library.
The festival is partnering with the Month of Women’s Rights. On Monday, March 30th, two feature films by director Icíar Bollaín will be highlighted: “El Olivo” (2015) and “Mataharis” (2007). On Tuesday, the 31st, a talk will discuss the mistreatment of women during the Franco period.
Expositions and animations
Additionally, two exhibitions are presented. The Périgord artist André Merle introduces his “Exiles” until Wednesday, April 8th at the Visitation chapel. Sculptor Alain Bougouin and painter Marcel Nino Pajot will offer works on “The Return of Don Quixote” at the media library and the l’app’Art gallery.

The Sostenuto duo, formed by Marie-Laure Bouillon (flute) and Benoît Roulland (guitar), will lead a master class at the departmental conservatory at the Visitation. Writers Alfons Cervera, for the memory of the civil war, and Antonio Altarriba, for comics, are expected on Thursday, April 2nd, and Friday, April 3rd.
And the young people attending the Borie Bru leisure center in Champcevinel will spend “a day in the enchanted forest” with the Argentine artist Quique Gurevich.
Also, note some activities in Trélissac. Peruvian painter Alina Casaverde will exhibit at the media library and create a mural with students from the regional school for adapted education (Erea) Joël-Jeannot.
