On Monday, March 9, 2026, the Leisure and Culture Animation Committee (Calc) of Saint-Ouen-de-Mimbré (Sarthe) announced the dates of its upcoming events during its general assembly.
In 2025, Calc organized the music festival and the communal festival, both of which were highly successful. A Christmas show was also held in collaboration with the school’s parents’ association. Financially, the association is doing well and has achieved positive results at each event.
For 2026, Calc will host the music festival on Friday, June 19, with a music group performing in the village square. The communal festival will take place on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5, featuring various activities like a boules competition, countryside meal, fireworks, funfair, and more surprises. A traditional flea market will liven up the village streets on Sunday morning, with the Potato Festival planned for Saturday, September 5.
The president, Emmanuel Moreau, expressed gratitude to the municipality and volunteers for their dedication to local festivals, but also highlighted the need for more volunteers to support future projects. Without new volunteers, the village festivals may disappear in the future.
The composition of the committee includes Emmanuel Moreau as president, Maxime Demeulenaere as vice president, Philippe Drouet as treasurer, and Christine Behier as secretary. For more information, contact [email protected]
