This March has been particularly lively in Villeréal for the APE Together For Children of Schools, mobilized on all fronts to bring the village to life and support the schools.

Among the highlights, the carnival made a lasting impression with a galloping and magical edition. Held under the sign of the Year of the Horse, the event offered a colorful spectacle, blending energy, creativity, and good humor. The streets of the bastide were vibrating to the rhythm of costumes and animations, much to the delight of both young and old. The association extends a huge thank you to all the structures and volunteers who contributed to the success of this festive afternoon, rich in emotions. The Chinese New Year-inspired parade was a great success. Amidst the typical bastide setting, the public was able to discover traditional dances, colorful costumes, and spectacular performances, showcasing the richness of Chinese culture. A rewarding and friendly gathering that allowed for unforgettable moments with family or friends, with the promise of the eagerly awaited return of the dragons.

In a more educational realm, on March 10, the students of the elementary school headed to the town hall to concretely discover the functioning of a polling station set up in the council chamber for the municipal elections. Welcomed by the Mayor, Jean-Jacques Caminade (Mayor until March 20), elected officials, and the town secretary, they were able to discuss the different stages of the election: ballots, polling booth, ballot box, counting, and term length. A concrete immersion in moral and civic education.

Finally, the APE continues its solidarity actions with the launch of the “Bijou” sale, a delicious tradition around madeleines, open to everyone until March 27. Even without children in school in Villeréal, everyone can participate by contacting the association to obtain an order form at ape.ensemble.villereal@gmail.com.

The profits will be fully donated to the nursery and primary schools, contributing to the financing of educational projects.

Once again, the APE demonstrates its dynamism and commitment to serving children and the local community.
