With spring comes a variety of events not to be missed in the Gard rhodanien and surrounding areas. From car hill climb races to Gran fondo cycling events to urban cultures, there is something for everyone.

Every year, during the copistes days, amateur artists of all levels and ages gather at the Albert-André museum or bring their sketchbooks to reproduce their favorite works. The public is also welcome to admire their work for three days (from March 27 to 29). Registration is free but mandatory for copistes (subject to availability, on a daily basis or for multiple days. Tel. 04 66 40 48 10).

The Bagnols-Sabran hill climb race opens the FFSA French Mountain Championship on the 28th and 29th of March. This marks the 55th edition of the race, which is part of the Occitanie-Méditerranée League Championship. Demonstrations and drift baptisms will be available during the weekend (15 euros, free for under 14s).

In Avignon, the 29th edition of the festival Escales voyageuses invites attendees to discover other cultures through documentaries, photos, and encounters in different locations in Avignon (from March 26 to 29).

In April, the Culture Urbaine à Bagnols festival returns for its 4th edition with various events spread over three weekends (starting from April 4): a BMX show, beatbox demonstrations, acrobatic dunk shows, and a concert by the humanist rapper Rocé at La Moba.

Antique lovers can visit Isle-sur-la-Sorgue over the Easter weekend, from April 4 to 8, for the international antique fair and flea market.

Sports enthusiasts will gather on April 25 and 26 for the Gran Fondo Provence Occitane in Cornillon, a major cycling event with 1,200 participants across three routes: 50 km, 113 km, and 155 km. This year, a 70 km gravel race will also be introduced on Saturday, along with a market for local producers and other activities.

On the same weekend (April 25 and 26), the national event “De ferme en ferme” will take place, where several farms open their doors to showcase the culture of spirulina, pomegranate, honey, olive production, and the work in a “manade” (bull breeding farm) (program available on www.defermeenferme.com).
