Six years after the cancellation of her European tour due to the Covid-19 pandemic and her serious health problems, Céline Dion is preparing to make her big comeback on stage, franceinfo learned on Monday, March 23rd from her entourage, confirming information from Le Parisien. The Canadian singer will give a series of concerts at Paris La Défense Arena, the largest venue in Europe, starting in September 2026. This return marks a turning point for the artist, who has stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disease that affects her vocal cords, and had forced her to stay away from the stage since 2020. Céline Dion had nonetheless revived the hopes of her fans by appearing at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics on July 26, 2024, singing “L’Hymne à l’amour” by Edith Piaf on the Eiffel Tower. Her six Parisian concerts, postponed several times due to the Covid-19 pandemic and then her health problems, were eventually definitively abandoned, as well as her appearance at the Vieilles Charrues festival in the summer of 2024.

For several weeks, her fans had noticed mysterious slogans on Parisian billboards featuring the titles of her greatest hits: “Pour que tu m’aimes encore”, “S’il suffisait d’aimer” and “The Power of Love”, hinting at an imminent announcement. The official announcement of the tour and the ticket sale should take place in the coming days.
