In full negotiations with Iran, the United States claims to have launched an operation to secure the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, April 11. Donald Trump, who wants to restore maritime traffic as soon as possible, criticizes the inaction of some allies, including France.

The United States and Iran, under the auspices of Pakistan, are holding talks on Saturday, April 11, in Islamabad, Pakistan, to turn the ceasefire into lasting peace. In the afternoon, Donald Trump asserted on his social network Truth Social that the United States had started “the process of blocking the Strait of Hormuz” after more than a month of blockade. The American president once again criticized countries that, in his opinion, are not doing enough to secure the area blocked by Iran, where one-fifth of the world’s oil usually transits.

“We are now beginning the process to secure the Strait of Hormuz for the benefit of all countries around the world, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, and many others,” Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Incredible fact: they do not have the courage or will to do the work themselves,” he added. “And meanwhile, tankers from around the world are heading to the United States to load oil,” Donald Trump rejoiced.

Iran contradicts Donald Trump

Several U.S. Navy ships reportedly crossed the Strait of Hormuz during the day, according to information from the media outlet Axios, citing a U.S. official. This operation is intended to instill confidence in commercial vessels to undertake the passage of the strait in turn, the media clarified. But a senior Iranian military official, quoted by the state television, denied this information.

“The ‘fake news’ media has totally lost its credibility, which is not surprising since they didn’t have much to begin with. Due to their enormous anti-Trump syndrome, they like to say that Iran is ‘winning’, when in reality everyone knows they are losing, heavily!” Donald Trump insisted.
