Easter Egg Hunt at La Planquette Playground in Bagnac
The Easter egg hunt on a Saturday during Easter is not a first in Bagnac, but who cares about the chronology of Easter celebrations? We didn’t notice if the church bells were quiet from Good Friday until they rang loudly on Sunday; it’s true that some well-placed mutes muffle them somewhat, or maybe we are less sensitive to their sounds? Who remembers that on Good Friday, there was a procession in the church square, a late mass, and that no one was supposed to eat meat that day (usually all Fridays but particularly this day)? What is certain is that the name Easter signifies vacation and this year in particular it means beautiful and warm weather. A blessing after a terrible start to the year with cold, rain, and gloominess.
So, Happy Easter! It was at La Planquette playground that the municipality of Bagnac organized an Easter egg hunt, a delicate organization entrusted to the councilors. Securing the environment, removing dog droppings which unfortunately, despite the dog poop bag dispensers nearby, continue to pollute this space dedicated to children, tape off dangerous areas, place eggs so there’s enough for everyone, and at 11:45 am the start signal, the youngest to the left and the older kids (up to 11 years old) to the right. A joyful commotion, because there are many of them, as every year, to share this moment of joy and treats, with or without (depending on age) the help of parents who also take the opportunity to chat among themselves. Even the aperitif was prepared and enjoyed, only with syrups.
