In the context of monthly contract signings for young people in Tarn-et-Garonne for the French Army, the Information and Recruitment Center of the Armed Forces organized a signing ceremony on Friday, April 3rd at the meeting room of Marshal Joffre, located at 13 Avenue du 11e RI in Montauban. Seven young individuals signed their enlistment contracts in the presence of Colonel Jérôme Christ and Major Laurent.
After a briefing from the Major and final recommendations before their integration into their respective units on Tuesday, Colonel Christ emphasized the specificity of the French army and the expectations for the recruits in the coming months: “Today, it is a strong commitment to the units you are joining, for yourselves and for your country. A new life begins for you. The army is a structured and fascinating profession where you will learn a lot, including handling weapons and pushing yourself. Sometimes it will be difficult, but nothing is insurmountable: with determination, everyone can succeed.”
The young individuals will be assigned to units as follows: – Mathieu from Castelsarrasin: 27e BCA in Cran-Gevrier, infantry fighter. – Esteban from Fabas: 4e RMAT DET in Draguignan, mechanic. – Matthieu from Perpignan: 1er RA in Bourogne, artillery fighter. – Lorenzo from Caussade: 21e RIMa in Fréjus, infantry fighter. – Hicham from Montauban: 28e RT in Issoire, SIC fighter. – Mathis from Réalville: 31e regiment of engineers in Castelsarrasin, engineer fighter. – Romain from Castelsarrasin: EM 11e BP in Balma, SIC fighter.
