The Detroit Red Wings have signed forward Noah Dower-Nilsson to a three-year, entry-level contract starting in the 2026-27 season. Dower-Nilsson, 20, recently played for Frölunda HC in the Swedish Hockey League, where he had a successful season with 16 points in 48 regular-season games. He also contributed to a Champions Hockey League title win with Frölunda HC in 2026. Dower-Nilsson was drafted by the Red Wings in 2023 and has since accumulated 28 points in 91 SHL games. Originally from Strömstad, Sweden, Dower-Nilsson has also excelled at the under-20, under-18, and under-16 levels for Frölunda. He has represented Sweden in various international tournaments, winning a silver medal at the 2023 IIHF World Under-18 Championship and a bronze medal at the 2022 World Junior A Challenge.
