VIDEO – The armed forces that struck Iran focused on sites “that posed an imminent threat,” according to a statement from the US Central Command.
The United States and Israel launched a major attack on Iran on Saturday. In the images released by the US military, missiles can be seen being fired from what could be a US Navy aircraft carrier.
Other black and white aerial images reveal what appears to be a drone on a runway, a radar tower, a missile battery, and a building complex. All were hit by what seemed to be bombs or missiles, followed by violent explosions. The US military forces that struck Iran focused on sites “that posed an imminent threat,” including “the command and control installations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iranian air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields,” the Central Command said in a statement on Saturday.
The military did not provide further details on the videos and did not disclose the exact time or locations of the strikes.
