On March 20th, the OPPBTP and the presidents and directors of ten SPST in Nouvelle-Aquitaine renewed their commitment within the Regional Coordination Committee for BTP Health and Safety Prevention (CRCSP-BTP NAQ). This new agreement aims to enhance the pooling of resources and expertise to more effectively support companies in the sector, with special attention to SMEs and micro-enterprises.

Since its creation in 2019, the CRCSP-BTP NAQ has become a key coordinating tool between the OPPBTP and the Prevention and Occupational Health Services (SPST). This partnership, initiated in 2003 with some services, now enters a sustainable dynamic thanks to this new convention.

The stated objective is to provide a local, consistent, and coordinated response to the health and safety issues at work. The signatories – AHI 33, SPST 19-24, AMCO-BTP, PRISSM 64, ASSTV 86, ASTPB 64, SSTI 33, PST Landes, SPSTi Oloron Sainte Marie (64), and SPSTi du Libournais (33) – intend to implement concrete actions across the entire regional territory.

The convention revolves around three priorities: promoting a prevention culture in all construction companies, contributing to the reduction of severe and fatal accidents, and sustainably improving working conditions in the industry.

To achieve this, the plan includes a more structured functioning of the Regional Coordination Committee for BTP Health and Safety Prevention. The partners commit to providing a shared overview of companies in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and ensuring that each one has an updated Company Fact Sheet, an up-to-date DUERP, and a tailored prevention action plan for its activities.

    Common Areas of Work

Every year, the OPPBTP and the SPST will establish common areas of work and coordinate campaigns by profession or priority risk. Regular monitoring will be conducted based on shared indicators, specifically focusing on the provided support, created or updated DUERPs, implemented action plans, and collective actions taken. This continuous evaluation aims to adjust the measures and assess their actual impact on preventing occupational risks.

The results of the “My Sectors” campaign conducted from 2024 to 2025 already demonstrate the effectiveness of this collaboration. At the regional level, 867 companies were targeted, 339 were consulted and supported through a prevention diagnosis, and 117 established or updated their DUERP. Additionally, 319 companies now have an OPPBTP e-service account, making it easier to formalize their action plans.

Building on this momentum, the CRCSP-BTP NAQ has identified its next priority for 2025-2026: plastering work, particularly the role of drywall installers. This sector comprises over 2,100 companies in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, primarily with fewer than 20 employees, and is susceptible to falls from heights and musculoskeletal disorders. The upcoming campaign aims to enhance support for companies facing these risks, leveraging tools like the FIPU.
