In the first days of April, the cultural season of Cratère Amphitheater returns to La Prairie d’Alès with enticing offerings.

As spring unfolds with its scents and pollens, the Cratère Amphitheater in La Prairie launches some thought-provoking ideas through its initiatives, illustrated by spectacular encounters. From the last day of March until April 11, a photographic exhibition “Je pose pour le climat” by the collective Nîmois Citoyens pour le climat will be on display. On March 31 at 7:00 p.m., Jérémie Serra will give a conference on “Climate change: Causes, consequences – Acting at a personal level to become a change maker”.

Two shows will be featured in early April before the festive episode La Prairie en fête: on April 2 and 3, “Le poids des fourmis” based on a text by David Paquet will be directed by Philippe Cyr. The play narrates the confrontation between Jeanne and Olivier vying for a school election. Leading the school is a manipulative director, and the adults are not much better. But beware: these young individuals want to change the world!

A few days later, on April 8, dance will take center stage with “Le Mensonge”, a performance by Catherine Dreyfus with the Act2 Company. The choreographer adapts Catherine Grive’s album here to animate the experience of lying in a sensitive and playful way, at a child’s level between play, imagination, and secrecy.
