The Culture & Diversity Foundation commits to a three-year collaboration with choreographer Marion Lévy to support “Dans(e) ta classe,” an artistic and cultural education project that places dance at the core of learning. Implemented since 2023 at the Jacques Prévert College in Guingamp, Brittany, the program aims to use the body and movement as real pedagogical tools, fostering attention, cooperation, and comprehension. The artist works alongside teachers, turning the classroom into a shared exploration space where knowledge is built differently.
Designed as an integrated daily approach to schooling, “Dans(e) ta classe” goes beyond artistic initiation, actively questioning learning methods and students’ relationship with knowledge. This collective research will culminate in two public presentations on April 2 at the Ville Theatre, where the pilot class will showcase the concepts studied throughout the year.
This partnership is part of a broader commitment by the Culture and Diversity Foundation to promote dance as a driver of empowerment, confidence, and cohesion. In this context, the 3rd edition of the Dance & Diversity Awards, held on March 27 at Chaillot – National Dance Theatre (and on April 30 in the Centre-Val de Loire region), highlighted projects carried out in high schools in general and vocational streams in Île-de-France and Centre-Val de Loire as part of an unprecedented Cultural and Artistic Education (EAC) program.
Since 2023, this program has integrated dance into students’ daily lives with a strong ambition: to encourage creativity, self-expression, and cultural openness. A competition will be launched on TikTok and Instagram on April 29, coinciding with International Dance Day. (DG)
