At the Transbordeur concert as part of the Chants de Mars festival, the Terrenoire group had a chance to chat with Raphaël and Théo Herrerias about their unconventional journey. The first album tour lasted nearly two years, encompassing France and parts of Europe. Despite enjoying the concerts, they felt frustrated with the isolated life on the road. This led them to rethink the traditional artist role, opting for a more meaningful approach.

Their new approach took shape in Saint-Etienne, focusing on collaborating with local entities like social centers, museums, schools, and sports clubs. They discovered that connecting with the local community enhanced their musical experience. This inspired them to stay longer in each place, creating genuine connections and adding value to their performances.

Their aim is to revolutionize the music industry by prioritizing human connections and intimate settings over grandeur. They view music as a tool for unity and aim to spark small moments of joy in each community they visit. This unique project has been met with support from partners like Vertigo and venues willing to engage with local initiatives.

Their innovative journey is about adapting to each region’s distinctiveness and capturing the essence of their experiences through podcasts. Although not feasible for every tour date, the ambition of the project is commendable. The Terrenoire project is sure to inspire creativity and collaboration in the music industry.
