From April 10 to 12, Trèbes will host the 8th edition of the Arthéâtrèbes, a free amateur theater festival supported by local and emerging companies.
From April 10 to 12, the city will host the 8th edition of the Arthéâtrèbes, three days dedicated to sharing, discovery, and passion. The festival offers a rich and varied program, led by seven companies that showcase local and emerging talents, bringing the stage to life with sincerity and creativity.
According to Odile Mitais, delegated municipal councilor in charge of culture, “This festival is a true celebration of the art of comedy. We want to offer a stage where free expression and theatrical interpretation flourish. An opportunity for the residents of Trèbes and the surrounding areas, whether amateur or curious, to be carried away by the actors’ performances and forget about daily life, even if just for an hour. We are fortunate to have diverse plays that will captivate all audiences. The seven works featured this year explore human relationships and life experiences through improvisation, humor, and reflection on the human condition.”
Mayor Éric Ménassi adds, “For eight years, our commitment has been to make theater accessible to all. We have worked to make this festival completely free. Culture should be shared, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy, without financial barriers.”
The festival’s originator, Arnaud Mallevialle, emphasizes the importance of transmission, stating, “Two of the seven plays are performed by young actors. It is essential to provide them with a stage to express themselves and take their first steps on the boards. And why not inspire vocations? Perhaps the actors of tomorrow.”
The program includes on Friday, April 10 at 8:30 pm: Cathar Six Company, “Retour sur image.”
On Saturday, April 11: at 2 pm L’atelier des petits masques, “Une vie sans fin”; at 3 pm Les Bohneurs en scène troupe, “L’amour vite”; at 5 pm Ice and Maintenant-CIEM Company, “W.F.Y”; at 8:30 pm Outre Noir Company, “Variations autour des péchés.”
On Sunday, April 12: at 2:30 pm Les Néons Company, “N’importe quoi”; at 5 pm Clair-Obscur Company, “Le Molière détourné.”
