In a world that is connected, individualistic, and time-consuming, art, dreaming, creativity, and collectivity, everything that constitutes our humanity, tends to be marginalized. Always a source of artistic proposals of all kinds and with more and more motivated participants (from the passionate Furiosi to the joyful drummers of Batuk’), the association Point de suspension is teeming with ideas and inventive volunteers. It is organizing an event called “Artistic Suspensions” this Saturday, March 28th* at the hangar near the train station roundabout in Ajaccio. It’s a kind of open house for the public (mostly for adults) to rediscover the art explorer within themselves.
Workshops on theater, drawing, photography, singing…
“Suspensions Artistiques offers a creative break from everyday life, a moment where art is experienced, shared, and reinvented together. Throughout the day, volunteers offer a variety of workshops to explore: collage, theater, drawing, photography, singing, body percussion, juggling, or basketry. Accessible to all, they invite you to experiment, create, and exchange in a playful and caring atmosphere. Each activity, whether it’s collage or theater, offers a unique approach, blending temptation and discovery,” explains Romane Sarrazin, a member of the association behind the project. The day also includes readings, performances, and concerts, celebrating the diversity of artistic expressions.
In this open space, where curiosity, imagination, and encounters are at the heart of the experience, it is possible to try up to four workshops with Passes (Creation or Immersion). Refreshments and food are available on-site. “A day to pause, observe, create, and be surprised by taking the time to wander, be surprised, exchange a few words with the artists,” adds Romane. “And what if you came to put your hands and mind into creation? Because sometimes, all it takes is an image, an object, a detail to create a suspended moment.”
