On April 30, the temple on Lombards street tunes in to UNESCO for a masterful celebration of International Jazz Day, placing women at the heart of Parisian creation.
It’s a true summit of vocal jazz taking over Sunside for two electric sessions at 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm. The exceptional voices of Sacha Boutros, Michèle Hendricks, and Mélanie Dahan will intertwine in a rare alchemy, supported by a high-flying rhythm section where pianist Vincent Bourgeyx, bassist Darrell Hall, and drummer Lukmil Herrera shine brightly. A five-star cast completed by the appearances of Dmitry Baevsky, John Lander, and Fiona Ross, promising a rare intensity for this spring gathering.
At the same time, Sunset will change its tune to make room for the explosive energy of flutist Ludivine Issambourg. Accompanied by her band Antiloops, including Nicolas Derand on keyboards, Timothée Robert on bass, and Julien Sérié on drums, she will unfold her hybrid aesthetic between organic groove and electro pulsations. An anticipated performance confirming her role as a flagship of bold and decidedly modern French jazz.
To ensure this celebration resonates beyond the club walls, Sunset & Sunside will use a live streaming setup on Facebook and YouTube. Fans from around the globe can thus vibrate live to Sacha Boutros’ concert, inscribing this Parisian evening in a global dynamics of sharing and musical fraternity. With the appearances of Maxine Gordon, Joan Minor, and Marvin Parks, Lombards street is preparing to experience one of the highlights of its 2026 season.
