According to the latest research from TrendForce, Xiaomi has firmly established itself as the third-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. The global smartphone market is expected to reach a total production volume of 1.25 billion units by the end of 2025, with a 2.5% increase compared to the previous year. This growth is attributed to significant subsidies in China and a strong traditional tourism season in the second half of the year.

While Apple and Samsung currently hold the top positions, Xiaomi has firmly established itself as the third-largest manufacturer in the world. This performance showcases the company’s resilience in a highly competitive environment, even as the industry braces for significant increases in raw material costs next year.

The smartphone sector has seen a gradual recovery throughout 2025, supported by a consistent demand for high-performing devices. Xiaomi, along with its subsidiaries REDMI and POCO, has successfully weathered supply chain fluctuations to maintain its high production levels.

Although the fourth quarter experienced a slight 7% production decline as the company adjusted its stocks to manage rising memory prices, the annual performance demonstrates its global presence. As 2026 approaches, the sector faces a potential 10% production decrease due to the increased cost of memory components. Manufacturers are considering raising device prices or reducing technical specifications.

Xiaomi has achieved an annual production volume of approximately 170 million units, solidifying its position as the third-largest smartphone manufacturer globally. The company strategically controlled its stocks in the last quarter of 2025 to mitigate the financial impact of expensive components like flash DRAM and NAND memory.

To stabilize profitability in 2026, Xiaomi plans to increase the share of its mid-range and high-end models, including the upcoming REDMI K80 Ultra (Xiaomi 15T global series model). While Apple and Samsung share the top spot with 240 million units, Xiaomi continues to lead Chinese manufacturers, surpassing OPPO and vivo in total volume.

Amidst fierce global competition, Xiaomi’s continued dominance in the Chinese market highlights its strong global position. The world smartphone market remains highly competitive, with Xiaomi successfully maintaining its position against industry giants.
